A Heroes Thank You
Our friends from the Bangor Sam’s Club are one in a billion. Each year, they go above and beyond to help raise mission critical funds and awareness for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Children’s Services. And, just a couple of weeks ago, Mindy Whittington, Club Manager, called the hospital to let us know that they had several boxes of gloves that she and her team wanted to donate to our frontline caregivers – a much needed and a much appreciated donation.
Today, Sam’s Club announced that, starting this Sunday, April 19th, it would host Hero Hours each Sunday from 8 to 10 am. During these hours, healthcare workers and first responders will be given masks and asked to follow proper social distancing practices.
On behalf of our healthcare heroes at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, we truly appreciate Sam’s Club’s thoughtfulness.
