CMN Hershey: grateful for our Advisory Board

During this week of gratitude, we’d like to share our sincere thanks for the dedicated community leaders who volunteer to serve on the Children’s Miracle Network Hershey Advisory Board for Penn State Children’s Hospital.

These incredible, servant leaders work tirelessly all year long to fulfill our mission to save kids’ lives and improve their quality of care.

CMN Hershey Advisory Board members toured the new Penn State Children’s Hospital expansion project in December 2019.

Board members represent key constituencies that support our work – national partners like The GIANT Company, Walmart and The Hershey Company; local business like Universal Media, Evans Burial Vaults and Johnson Controls; strategic partners like Highmark Health and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts; media partners including JPL, Cumulus Media and WGAL-TV8; members of the Penn State Children’s Hospital executive team and Miracle Family representatives – moms, uncles and grandfathers.

“We simply could not do what we do without our advisory board,” shared Danielle Sunday, Director of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). “Together, these leaders recommend growth strategies, open doors for new partnerships, invite new supporters to the table and answer any call for help. In addition to giving their time and their professional talents, they also give personally — all to help sick and injured kids right here in our community.”

In just the last year, this group:

  • Sponsored and invited others to sponsor our events
  • Hosted their own events to benefit CMN
  • Answered phones during Pay4Play and Telethon
  • Wrote notes of thanks to new supporters
  • Personally supported our Meal-a-Day program, providing one free meal each day to caregivers of pediatric inpatients
  • Donated their time to attend meetings and represent CMN at countless third-party fundraisers
  • Provided strategic counsel in their respective areas of expertise
  • Served on a secondary CMN volunteer committee or invited their friends/loved ones to join a CMN volunteer committee
  • Served as advocates for CMN in the community and within their places of business

Thank you to our 2019-2020 board members:
