It’s time to Help Kids Live Better at Walmart and Sam’s Club

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores are once again joining forces to “Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future” by raising money for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med during the upcoming #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign.

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members have raised over $4.4 million for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med since 1993. To date, total fundraising from Walmart and Sam’s Club for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America is more than $1 billion.

Money is raised primarily through a register campaign where customers and members contribute $1 or more when they checkout. Associates also fundraise in other ways including bake sales, in-store contests, and events like the annual Walmart Golf Tournament.

The 2019 campaign raised nearly $130,000 to support the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. This year’s register campaign runs June 22 through July 19. Customers and members can conveniently round up their change, or donate $1 or more when they check out at any Walmart or Sam’s Club store in the Capital Region.

Pediatric healthcare is underfunded. Money raised at Walmart and Sam’s Club helps close this funding gap. All funds raised at Capital Region Walmart and Sam’s Club locations directly benefit the kids treated at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med, your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Walmart and Sam’s Club joined the CMN Hospitals fundraising family in 1987 with Sam Walton himself being personally involved in the beginning of the relationship between the organizations. The #HelpKidsLiveBetter campaign supports Walmart’s goal of giving back to local communities.

Wondering how you can help? Customers and members can help spread the word about the campaign via social media using the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter.
