Local Sam's Club Associates Hit a Miracle Milestone

CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital is overwhelmed with the generosity of Alexandria’s Sam’s Club associates and the local community.  Grabbing the #1 spot in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas in 2017, Sam’s Club #8181 is blazing a path of unprecedented care and concern for their local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital.

Nancy Hellyer, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital’s CEO, recently accepted a check for a total of $18,755 from Sam’s Club associates.  These funds will directly impact the hospital’s level 3 regional NICU, Pediatric Therapy Center and 17 rural School Based Health Centers.

During the 2017 CMN Campaign, a special Sam’s Club associate, “Ms. Betty”, made a personal effort to reach each and every customer who walked through the doors.  Managers believe that close to half the funds were a direct result of Ms. Betty’s efforts to make the community aware of the hospital’s life saving treatments, services and equipment for children.  It is her personal mission to change the lives of local kids.

By hosting local in-store events, selling banners to 6 local businesses and asking for donations at the register, the Alexandria Sam’s Club associate team reached an unprecedented CMN fundraising total.  The enthusiasm of the leadership team, starting with the store manager, Craig Bailey, and co-manager, Candy Halko, trickled out and influenced the hearts and engagement of every associate. Consequently, hundreds of Central Louisiana kids will be impacted at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

On behalf of the children, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital is sending a big shout out to it’s special supporters including Sam’s Club #8181 Associates, Stuart and Company, Uncle Willies, Kajun Kitchen-Green Johnson, Sammy’s Truck Auto Plaza, Three Potato More and the City of Pineville.
