Miracle Worker Spotlight: Denise Yount

Miracle workers and supporters, we have seen so much success this past week and it would not be possible without you, our wonderful associates. The miracles have not ceased for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and the blessings keep flowing in. So much of our success is thanks to our wonderful associates!

This week we wanted to highlight a stellar person who has been helping us for nearly three decades! Denise Yount is a loving mother and grandmother that tries to do some sort of fundraiser with us every single pay day. Whether that be charity dinners, bake auctions, or even craft auctions, every single opportunity she gets is geared towards helping even just one child. Working with CMN has become so important to her, that she still continues to fundraise even though her children are grown. She still has grandchildren and “you never know when one of them may need the hospital.”

Denise frequently assists in running community outreach events for CMN.

Denise also loves going to the kick off meetings every year, specifically to see the ambassador children smiling brightly, knowing the struggles they’ve been through but seeing their determination never to give up. Truly nothing can get them down!

In another experience Denise had, she recounts, “I think one of the best memories I have is when we got to host the national ambassador, Christopher Armstrong. We had him at the store and we had the newspaper, a Walmart truck driver, and a variety of other things going on to welcome him as being the national ambassador. At the time he needed an iPad to help him communicate, so all the associates in the store got together and got him an iPad. We presented it to him at the presentation that we had.”

We are beyond blessed to have such amazing people working with us each year. The amount of support we receive is astounding and truly a miracle. We have been so lucky to get such wonderful aid from our local communities and especially wonderful individuals like Denise Yount. She loves donating her time and efforts to help bring smiles to the faces of all the children.

What can you do to help out the Children’s Miracle Network?
