Walmart & Sam's Club Raise Nearly $100k

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members in Kern County put their money where the miracles are during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising campaign.

Donations poured in June 10 through July 7, as Walmart and Sam’s Club associates at 11 Kern County locations held various in-store fundraising activities and asked customers and members at the register to help kids live better.  

The community donated $99,257 benefiting the Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Donations collected by Walmart and Sam’s Club help the Lauren Small Children’s Center provide pediatric programs, services and lifesaving medical equipment to Kern County children.
