Sparking Miracles Pennies, Nickels, and Dimes at a Time!

Today is the day! Associates at Walmart and Sam’s Club are hosting their annual fundraising campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the United States and Canada, including Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

During the next four weeks, customers and members will be invited to donate $1, $5, or their change when paying at the cash registers and self-checkouts. If you’re asked, we hope you’ll donate! Every penny donated makes an impact for kids receiving care locally.

This is the 37th year that Walmart and Sam’s Club have partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to change kids’ health. Through the years, associates have partners with their customers and members to raise more than $1 billion nationally – most of this being raised $1 at a time. Last year, the campaign netted $41 million, with close to $80,000 being raised locally and donated to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
