Oh, The Places You'll Go

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates are on their way to great places… miracle making places! Associates throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine kicked off their annual fundraising campaigns today, and now through September 30th, they’ll be asking customers to donate $1, $2, or $5 to Eastern Maine Medical Center, our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program in northern Maine.

Walmart associates are teaming together to help raise money for an ultrasound machine that will be used by staff in Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Maternal Fetal Medicine department. More than 8,000 moms whose pregnancies are high risk seek care from this department annually, and this machine will allow staff there to see clearer images, allowing for an earlier diagnosis of anomalies. This means that more babies will have the chance of growing up to be big and strong kids, thanks to all of our help!

And, our friends from Sam’s Club are on a similar journey, but they’re helping to raise money to fund three new ventilators in Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
