Sweetening the Pie for Maine Kids

From Fairfield to Presque Isle, Blue Hill to Greenville, and everywhere in between (and a little more north, too), Miracle Makers from Walmart and Sam’s Club are all in to help Maine kids this September. We’re so thankful to our friends from the Walmart in Houlton who have raised more than $2,800 toward their $5,000 fundraising goal. Walmart associates are teaming up together to help buy Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Maternal Fetal Medicine department a new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machine. This machine will provide doctors and nurses with clearer images and it will make it easier for them to diagnose anomalies earlier meaning that more babies will be given the gift of childhood.

The associates at the Houlton location are adding a little incentive to encourage their associates to support the campaign. The local management team is each represented by a change canister (pictured above). The manager with the most change is getting pied! And, we love hearing stories that highlight that we’re all in for Maine kids!
